Visualization is the formation of an object or scenario in your mind through use of your imagination.
And creative visualization can help you create a mental picture of an outcome that you want to occur in your life.
Visualization is usually used alongside a form of meditation, and is utilized by many successful people who want to conceptualize and make a mind-movie of what they want to manifest in reality.
Using Binaural Beats for visualization can help you have a more vivid, intense visual experience, because you are able to manipulate your mind into a state conducive to deep visualization.
It's a fun process, too.
In this post, I'll give you all the information you need to start visualizing today and manifesting your ideal reality.
What Is Visualization?
You can use creative visualization to help you create what you want in life.
Whether you want to earn more money or get a better job, attract better relationships into your life, or reduce stress and anxiety, visualization can help you make these things a reality in everyday life.
Additionally, creative visualization can help you become more confident and focused on achieving your goals and fulfilling your potential.
You will become more inspired to take consistent action towards your goals, and the process will trigger new ideas on how to improve your current circumstances.
Visualization uses the creative mind to promote better physical world outcomes.
Why Visualization Works
Visualization is akin to mental rehearsal. This is where one imagines performing without having to actually do anything.
Athletes, musicians, and actors will run through prepared routines in their mind and literally see themselves participating at their best before they take the big stage.
Training your brain in this way works because when you come to the actual event, there is a solid foundation of belief that you can complete the action in the way you desire.
Some mental rehearsal is so deep that the participant will gain a perception that they have “done this before”, and success simply becomes a case of following a previously trodden path.
And it really works, as this study in football players shows.
This mental training produces new neural pathways linked to the event, which make it easier to replicate the success you imagine in real life.
Secondly, your subconscious mind is unable to tell the difference between a real memory and one you have vividly imagined.
If your manifestation of belief is deep enough, your subconscious will believe that you are already experience the success, and you will be more likely to act in a way conducive to achieving this in real life.
Lastly, there is the Law of Attraction. You are what you think, and what you believe. When you resonate with the energy of success, you will unwittingly attract more success into your life.
In a nutshell: if you spend time each day visualizing happiness and success, you are more likely to attract these things into your life, as opposed to spending your time thinking negatively and repelling positive change.
So let's look at how to get started and how to visualize with binaural beats.
Visualizing With Binaural Beats
Visualizing with binaural beats helps you get past some of the key challenges people face when learning how to visualize.
Most commonly, people find it hard to quiet their minds and tend to feel restless when they sit down to try.
To begin visualizing, you should be in a calm state, not stressed and fidgety.
Next, we want to be in the perfect state of mind for influencing our subconscious mind.
This will help manifest those changes you want to make.
As you may already know, when your brain is in the theta state (the state associated with meditation), you have better access to your subconscious.
We can use a binaural beats track to help entrain the brain into producing an abundance of theta waves.
In a deeply peaceful, meditative state, you can create compelling & vivid mental movies of you living your best life.
+ Check out these Theta Tracks
+ Or this special Manifestation Track
You can use any of these track to complete the 10-step visualisation process below.
10 Steps To Visualizing With Binaural Beats
Here is a simple 10 Step Process for visualization that I have been using for over 8 years.
This is the exact technique I use, and I attribute it to many of the successes in my life.
Simply follow these instructions, and soon you will feel more confident & focussed, with a strong sense of self-belief.
My Secret Technique 🙂
Set aside a minimum of 15 minutes for your visualization session. Any less than that and it may be hard to get in the zone and fully cement the visuals in your subconscious mind.
That's what we need to achieve, because your subconscious controls your everyday autopilot thoughts, emotions and behaviors, and it is these that we want to reflect your goals.
1. Get Comfortable
The comfier the better. The last thing you want is to feel uneasy, too hot, too cold, or just fidgety. You need to feel as relaxed as possible.
You can lie down, but you don't want to fall asleep, so try to sit up if you can. If you can sit in the lotus meditation position then great, if not, try a comfortable chair or the sofa.
2. Play the Audio
Once you have downloaded your track, whether you're listening on your phone, tablet or mp3 player, press play on the audio when you are fully comfortable.
3. Breath Slowly
Slow your breathing right down, by taking in deep breaths from your diaphragm. This will help relax you further.
In for for 3, out for 3, slow and controlled.
4. Relax Each Part of Your Body
Relax each part of your body in turn. Start with your toes and work your way up to your thighs, stomach, hands, shoulders and head.
To do this, simply move or tense the body part and then let it go, seeing it unwind in your mind.
5. Start Visualizing
Once you are fully relaxed, breathing consistently and the music is taking you down deeper, begin to imagine what you want.
You are creating a mental movie of the outcome you want.
For example, if you want a better relationship with your girlfriend/boyfriend, visualize doing the things you'd love to do together, see yourself being happy, perhaps holding hands walking along the beach on an idyllic holiday.
If you want a new BMW, then see yourself buying it from the showroom and driving it down a country lane.
6. Deep Dive on Details
The deeper the detail the better. Whatever your goal, daydream every detail of the process and circumstances in which you want this to happen.
Imagine the people, smells, tastes, environment. Create the world in your mind and live out every step of the story.
7. Feel the Process
This is a little more difficult to grasp on your first try, but over time you will be able to literally feel the emotions of the story.
The more you practice the more naturally you will experience the visuals as if they were actually happening.
8. Edit and Perfect Your Mental Movie
The first few times you visualize you may not be able to create the perfect vision . You may find that you can't control certain aspects, or there are thoughts invading your mental space and trying to disrupt the process.
This is perfectly normal and happens in standard meditation too. When we try to quieten the mind or focus in on one thought or visual, the space is flooded with brain activity all of a sudden.
Over time you can edit and perfect your movie. You can add in new aspects to the story and create the perfect mind movie to play over and over again.
9. Repeat Your Practice Each Day
There's little point in visualizing once every two weeks. You need to be consistent, and the more consistent you are the more likely you are to manifest these changes in real life.
Try to visualize daily for 15-30 minutes. If you can, do a morning and evening session.
10. Be Patient
Profound change doesn't happen over night. You need to give this a fair chance to work for you, and that means a minimum of 4-6 weeks.
Seriously, think how long a broken leg takes to heal, 6-8 weeks, and that's how long you'll need to really start manifesting this positivity and for your subconscious mind to be programmed with this reality.
You may see subtle change before this time, and often quite quickly. But this is a process and there are many cogs in the development. So be patient and keep at it.
Some Final Thoughts
I love visualization, it's really fun and can be very effective if you do it regularly enough. It's free, too.
If you are visualizing with binaural beats, as shown in my method above, all you need to do is purchase a track, which is usually under $10.
And if you'd like some help in creating your movie – perhaps you're having trouble working out exactly what you want out of life and how to get there, you could use iMovie or similar software to create your movie, and then visualize it when you do the meditation practice.
So many successful people use visualization. Honestly, I can't recommend it enough. If nothing else it's positive. You are flooding your mind with positive intention and creating a future reality in the now.
Remember that concept too. Some people would argue that this isn't “mindfulness” because you are living in the future and predicting outcomes. But that's not true.
You are creating a reality that ultimately you will come to believe you are living. So actually it is in the present.
You need to believe to achieve. If your mind can perceive it, you can achieve it.
You need to behave like you are already in ownership of this success, and that's what visualization helps you to do.
It's free and easy to do, and super positive. What are you waiting for? Start today.

Hey!
How would you work the visualisation around a limiting belief you have?
E.g. Having unmet emotional needs as a child?
Would visualising from the past and getting needs met work? Or would it have to be based in the future?
bbfreak says
I think the key here is that you have recognized that you are stuck in this place with this limiting belief. So the visualization would center around visualizing what person you want to become, i.e. free of that limiting belief. Visualize your life without that holding you back. Visualize the happiness that would bring you and the opportunity it would open up.

Thanks for this! How often do you recommend doing these deep visualisations?
bbfreak says
15 minutes daily is a good start. If you can’t do it every day, then perhaps three times a week. Increase the duration as you feel comfortable. That said, don’t force it. Do it when you feel inspired to 🙂

Is “deep meditation” BBM.com good for this technique too? or spiritual awakening is better?
bbfreak says
Both will work for this purpose. I enjoy both but Spiritual Awakening is probably my favourite.

Dear Lawrence ,
First of all I’d like to congratulate you on your great website! A lot of great info to be found here, thanks!
I had a question which I hope you don’t mind me asking here.. I’m fairly new to binaural beats, and I’ve started with the prosperity package from the unexplainable store. It really helps to completely relax and I’m starting to have a really good night’s sleep again. The thing is though, that I would like to visualize more on my goals and I’m still struggling with that.. The recordings I have are ‘deep theta’, while I’ve seen you write that its best to use ‘alpha’ for visualisation? I’d love to give the manifestation recordings a chance, but also here on the website of the unexplainable store they mention a ‘theta’ state. Is there a big diiference between the two? And in general, which recordings work best for you for visualisation?
I’m definately checking out some other articles here 🙂
Thank you, have a great day!
Maarten

Hi Maarten, thanks for your kind words, I’m glad you’re finding my site useful.
I usually use Alpha for the type of visualisation that evokes quick ideas for my music and writing because it allows me to work and be “awake” at the same time. I often find I get too deep into my sub conscious mind with Theta, especially deep Theta. However, if I was focussing more on affirmations for specific success/financial goals I might well use theta because this would require a deeper, more meditative approach, in my opinion.
I should have clarified this is my post, which I’ll update soon so thanks for pointing that out.
Because visualization/inspiration is quite a broad topic with many sub-areas, you will find different types of recording covering different areas. For example, I can listen to Positive Thinking while on the go or working because it is Alpha state track with some Beta wave entrainment mixed in there too that gets me in a positive mind set while avoiding feeling so relaxed that I just want to lie down. Getting in a positive mind doesn’t require the sitting meditation aspect that deep visualisation does, if you see what I mean.
In short, if you want deep, subconscious spiritual manifestation for success based stuff, go for deep Theta. If you want to stimulate positivity around ideas, goals and inspiration that happens in the moment then Alpha is great.

Hey Lawrence!
What an AWESOME website!! You are doing a GREAT job introducing we “newbies” to the wide world of effective meditation!
I “accidentally” stumbled upon guided meditation as I was working my way through Lyme’s disease. I had gone to traditional doctors, alternative doctors, reading every Louise Hay book I could get my hands on, cleaning up my diet, and then…guided meditations! I can’t TELL you or your viewers what a NIGHT-AND-DAY DIFFERENCE meditation can make in a person’s Life! I believe I am 100% healed and whole…from a very devastating disease that really has no effective, agreed-upon cures!
Please keep up the good work, of walking us through the process, and sharing with us what you’ve learned so far!
Thanks so much,
Mary
